Everybody has tried to learn to play piano at one point in his or her life. When I sat down to write this Rocket Piano review, it took me back to a time when a very old lady was trying to cram songs I really didn’t care about down my throat. I was sweating nervously and thinking I would do almost anything imaginable to get out of her musty house and outside playing football with my friends.
Perhaps you have felt the same way? Over the years I have spoken to many many people who have a similar experience to recount. I eventually learned to fake my way through a few songs but never really felt at home behind the keyboard.
This is a quick review of an online training course called Rocket Piano. If you are looking to purchase this training from the actual Rocket Piano site you can visit it here:

The story of how I found my way to Rocket Piano. I had a few weeks off with very little to do and decided that this would be my chance to finally “get good” at the piano. Rocket Piano was not the only program that I “auditioned” for this project.
There was a DVD course a few different books and an actual real, live teacher (imagine that eh?). After the first week I began to seriously start gravitating to Rocket Piano. I really liked the fact that I could learn new stuff as soon as I was ready to. Let’s face it, most of us do not like being intimidated by a teacher, in that situation I found myself sort of freezing up and that hampered my attention to what I was doing.
Further Rocket Piano was by far the best price for the situation. You really can’t get more bang for your buck than this! Hours and hours of lessons for one super low price beats the heck out of paying for an expensive teacher.

So I respectfully bid my teacher goodbye and decided upon the home study direction. At this point, in addition to Rocket Piano, I was still using the book and the other DVD set that I had purchased.
But by the end of the second week, I was focusing all of my attention on Rocket Piano. I think that you will find that learning from a video is head and shoulders easier than any book. Plus the videos included with Rocket Piano are way better than the “home movie” style of many other courses.
What really put me over the top were the extras (listed on the Rocket Piano site as Bonuses) included with this package. I got some serious value out of all of these. Well, maybe not the metronome so much, but all of the others are great.

The Jayde Musica game makes learning the notes of the staff much easier than ever before. The “Chordinator” is super helpful for teaching yourself how to read piano chords. If you are not aware, this is one of the toughest parts of reading piano music. The Advanced Learning Techniques is not something I have totally dug into yet but I am glad to know that it is there.
I think the total show stopper is the “Perfect Your Pitch Pro”. Learning to play from ear is one of the most important skills a musician can master. This alone can not only enhance your playing ability but also your enjoyment of music on a whole. There are very expensive courses out there that teach this exact thing, I was really impressed to see that this was included in the super low cost of $39 for the entire course.
You can read more about the extras if you click here and scroll all the way down.

I could go on and I probably will update this as I progress further (perhaps even add some audio?). But for now I hope that you have enjoyed this Rocket Piano Review.
